The Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin turned down my proposal to add one of my paintings to their collection because this hospital only accepts children’s artwork. Their art therapist explained that studies show children respond positively to the artwork created by other children. Then she added, “But we really love your paintings.” And she invited me to exhibit in the hospital’s Sky Walk Gallery.
