Thank you for highlighting Sazi’s story…what a lovely picture of Courage- to continue to want to live, despite the horrible treatment of the past. We in the West need to take heed and learn. I ‘d like to learn more of their plight!
Your paintings have captured the strength that radiates on the face that comes from suffering. The comfort and trust that is given and felt by the mother and her child in this painting. I love the title of your AP!2 Courage Ablaze!!
Thanks, Marilyn. The Congolese refugees truly inspire me.
“kind of true courage that is hammered out on the anvil of life’s most horrifying circumstances.”
Yes – very beautiful, Pamela. Hope you have a great summer!
Lori, thanks for stopping by! You have a great summer too!
Women like this one have so little, yet possess so much. We do well to take “a page from their book.” Thank you for painting women who have faced the deepest sorrows, yet live in contradiction to what was meant to destroy! You’ve painted amazing strength and compassion in her face and body. Much appreciation!
Susan, your words and encouragement mean so much. I have much to learn from these courageous Congolese women: The Silent Heroes.
