Brooke Briggson is a talented artist and musician from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the definition of a Renaissance woman. Specializing in pattern-making and abstraction in her artwork, she creates her pieces using acrylic and watercolor paints. Brooke completed both her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts in painting from Kendall College of Art & Design. Her intricate designs and attention to detail allow her audience to explore abstraction in their own unique ways and to connect with the elements depicted in her art. She has developed a passion for using a variety of color palettes and textures to convey universal ideas that resonate with everyone. Brooke’s dedication to her craft has earned her recognition as a rising star in the Michigan art scene. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Brooke is also a professional musician and has been serving with the 126th Army Band for the past 16 years. She plays several instruments, including clarinet, alto saxophone, guitar, and keyboard, and sings in a rock band.
One of Brooke’s most recent works is a sculpture called “Mosaic in Nature.” This piece combines organic and structured elements to create a painted pattern that mimics ancient mosaic techniques. Brooke hopes the sculpture will encourage people to reflect on the relationship between nature and art and gain a new perspective on how the two can coexist harmoniously. She believes that her art has the power to positively impact the environments in which it is displayed, and she is dedicated to creating pieces that are universally enjoyable and thought-provoking.
